Vintage KJL Kenneth Jay Lane for AVON Beads & Ram’s Head Clasp Necklace

This was a limited edition masterpiece designed by KJL for Avon. It is a Book Piece featured on page 208 of Rhinestone Jewelry Figurals, Animals and Whimsicals by Marcia Brown. Plastic beads with gold tone bead accents placed along strands, two strands in all, ram heads clasp, when clasped it appears hidden. Marked K.J.L. (Kenneth Jay Lane) for AVON, circa 1980’s. Ram heads are connected with a separate piece that attached with a snap closure. Ram heads measure approx. 2 ¼ X 1 inches, accented with green crystal eyes and white rhinestones. Necklace measures approx.30 inches from end to end (measuring the shortest strand). Blue beads are approx. 10mm. No original box or paperwork, but has been stored nicely, normal surface wear.
