Kinichi Shigeno is a Japanese-born Canadian ceramic artist. His exploration of three dimensional shapes and colors to enhance images has enabled him to work in both functional ware and sculpture.
His artworks are in private and corporate collections around the world. Collections include: Maxwell House in Toronto; Campbell Soup Museum in Camden New Jersey; Claridge Collection in Montreal; Richmond Art Gallery in Richmond, Canada; Castelli Institute of Art in Teramo Italy; Canadian Craft Museum in Vancouver Canada; Taipei Fine Arts Museum in Taipei Taiwan; and the residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Canada.
In 1991 he won the Canadian Artists Grand Prize for a commissioned table setting at the Lieutenant Governor's residence in Victoria. He was one of 62 entrants.
