Vintage Kutani Porcelain Lithophane 3 piece set

Vintage Kutani Porcelain Lithophane 3 piece set Japanese Kutani very fine porcelain teacup, saucer, and plate set with beautiful landscape hand painted in silver gilt. The silver gilt is very reflective, hard to photograph it, but it’s lovely! The amazing and unique footed teacup is eggshell porcelain, very thin and see through. There is a right facing Geisha portrait outlined in silver gilt at the bottom of the cup. When held to the light the beautiful image appears. So stunning!😍 Cup 4 1/2” wide with handle and 2” tall. Saucer 5 1/2” diameter Plate 7 1/8” diameter All pieces ring true, but especially the cup! The saucer and plate are stamped “Kutani (Mount Fuji) Handpainted Japan” No chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. Does have some gilt manufacturing flaws from brushstrokes, missing in places and added by mistake in others as well as a couple of dark brown firing spots, as shown. Very gently pre-loved condition. No real signs of use that I can see. Due to factory flaws, priced accordingly. Smoke free, cat friendly home. This is set two.
