Vintage Looped Dangling Necklace

This vintage necklace is made of a gold tone metal and has an adjustable hook clasp closure. The necklace has two chains on either side that meet in the front and go together through a circle and then dangle freely. It seems like the necklace can be worn either way, but I believe the "correct" way to wear this necklace is with the chain in front of the ring on the bottom.
