Vintage, Collectable, Rare Porcelain plate made in East Germany by "JL Menau Graf Von Henneberg".
- Stunning mid-century modern porcelain plate with fruit motif and gold gilt scalloped rim, accents this porcelain plate perfectly This can be used for serving Cake, fruit, pastries.. or even as décor in a cabinet.
- Pattern features lovely peach, cherries and foliage as a central medallion and the border of the plate is adorned with a variety of fruits, strawberries, Plums, blackberry, Peach, grapes, nuts.
- Marked "JL Menau Graf Von Henneberg, 1777" on the back. 1777 is the year the company was established.
- "JL Menau Graf Von Henneberg" was one of the largest porcelain producers in Germany.
- This plate is great quality, can be used daily but handwash recommended to keep the gold trim.
- Approx. diameter: 10”
This plate was made in East Germany part of a history since it reunified with West Germany.
This plate is vintage and used but is in excellent condition.- No signs of chips, cracks, crazing. Minor wear on the gold gilt due to the age.
I have a set of 6 side plates that would complement this plate very well and would make a beautiful combination set. I posted a photo of both together (see last photo). They are listed separately.
