Vintage Marimekko (1972) Pansy Print Pink Sun Dress Size 40/12 (Runs Small)

Marimekko vintage cotton sundress (1972) in pink with a purple and green pansy print. High square neckline. Thin shoulder straps. Pintuck-pleated bodice and yoke. Fuller skirt. Heavier weight crisp cotton. Pre owned in good vintage condition. NOTE - there is a small, faint stain on front of dress, see photos showing close-up and further away (hardly visible).Also some light yellowing on left shoulder strap, see last photo. 100% Cotton Approx. measurements: Bust 18” Length 36” NOTE - vintage pieces generally run smaller. Label states size 12. This fits me as a size 10, although a little tight across the bust. May fit 8/10 better. Current Marimekko size chart lists size 40 as US 10.Hits at my knee (5’4”) Check your measurements carefully.
