This is a stunning Mats Jonasson lead crystal owl sculpture, handmade in Sweden and part of the Signature Collection. The intricate owl design is created using a deep relief engraving process, where the image is sandblasted and sculpted into the crystal to give it remarkable depth and detail. Signed on the bottom – "Mats Jonasson Sweden 3289" Estimated Production Year: 1988 - early 1990s Original sticker still attached, which reads: MATS JONASSON Signature Collection HANDMADE IN SWEDEN LEAD CRYSTAL 28% PbO Hand-carved, sandblasted, and deeply engraved crystal Heavy, high-quality lead crystal with a sculpted, organic edge Dimensions: 8” W × 1.5” Thick × 8.5” H Condition: This is a pre-owned vintage piece in good condition, but it does have some imperfections: A few visible surface scratches, mainly on the back.
