Vintage Max Mara Little Ms. Sunshine & Lace Overlay Party Dress

Remember that precious lace confection you wore only on special occasions when you were a kid and it made you feel like a princess high on cake icing and fairy dust? This is the grown up version in a vintage lace overlay with buttercup yellow satin underdress. Fitted bodice with flared cap sleeve. Moderately gathered waist with a subtle flared skirt that comes to just above knee on the average height body. Back zipper. Hidden side pockets. Max Mara has been around since 1951. My somewhat educated guess would place this piece around the late 80s mark but happy to be corrected …? Pre-loved in very fine vintage condition. One small flaw - pictured is what I have found but you’d never see it unless I pointed it out😉 Label is a bit hard to read but it looks like lace is a viscose/nylon and the lining is viscose/silk/nylon. Sourced and styled for my daughter in laws wedding eve’s dinner I added a custom made crystal rhinestone ribbon belt available separately in the closet. For the true vintage aficionada!
