Wanting tools for an off-grid lifestyle or disaster prepping? Look no further. This is a manual hand-held pinion breast drill made by Metabo. It has a metal body and mechanism with wood handles and is marked E 5124 (over) 2 on the crank. The first hand-held drill was developed in Germany by Albrect Schnizler in 1923 and Metabo, founded in 1924, got its name from this hand drill, the "Metallbohrdreher." Rich history for a manufacturer that now offers a wide range of quality power tools. The elderly gentleman that previously owned this would only buy what he called "Nothing but the best." He has since passed away so I’m unable to pinpoint the exact year of this drill, but I would guess the 60s or 70s. Peep the images and infographic for more details. This vintage piece is in good working order. There is some cosmetic wear to the finish commensurate with age. It has been cleaned and is ready for a new home. Measurements: 9 3/4" length 24.75 cm 3 1/2" width 9 cm Circa: Unknown | Possibly 60s or 70s Label: Metabo | E 5124 (over) 2 Condition: Great | Vintage | Usable Price: 45 CAD + shipping Returns: All sales are final.
