Love this little guy!
About two inches long this stamped Mexican silver road runner looks like he speeding along at 100 miles an hour
Clasp works well, note: it seems liked there was more abalone on the front at one time.
Beautifully detailed feathers and feet.
The makers mark appears to be Enrique Ledesma, a second generation silversmith, worked in his father's Mexico City workshop as a child. After an education in art, he relocated to Taxco and worked for Spratling, Aguilar and Los Castillo. He opened his own workshop in 1950 and his jewelry is well regarded for design quality and the seamless blending of stone, usually obsidian, with silver. Ledesma died in 1979.
