...Barlaston England, cup + plate + bowl in original retail box A sweet nursey set featuring Beatrix Potter´s Mrs Tiggy-winkle. Made by Wedgwood Of Etruria & Barlaston in England and imported by Wedgwood (Canada) Ltd., it would date ca 1970s - 1980s. Perfect as a baby shower gift, birthday gift, Christening, Easter, Mother´s Day, for your own collection or for display. Children love having their own dishes. They quickly learn these dishes are special--made just for them--and they will ask for their favorite set by name. Added to the set is a sweet vintage Beatrix Potter figurine of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle with her iron in the second variation produced (glossy with a plaid dress), made by Beswick, England. Copyright 1948, and this one dates between 1974 and 1985. Condition: All pieces in this set have been loved by a previous owner. The mug looks in really nice shape, the cereal bowl has a few glazing flakes on the outside of the bowl that look to be production marks from the struts in the kiln. The position of them is really odd for them to have occurred during use. The little plate also has strut marks on the underside, but looks really neat and clean otherwise. None of the pieces are chipped or cracked. The box is stained and the spot is slightly sticky (without any real odour apart from cardboard). The mrs Tiggy-Winkle Figurine is in great condition!
