Vintage Muppets Rowlf the Dog Brown Vinyl Face Plush 12”

Rowlf the Dog was Jim Henson’s first character to appear on national television, working as Jimmy Dean’s sidekick on The Jimmy Dean Show from 1963-66. He appeared in multiple television commercials and specials before landing a regular role on The Muppet Show from 1976-81. Voiced by Henson himself, Rowlf was known on The Muppet Show for playing the piano and starring as Dr Bob in the recurring sketch Veterinarian's Hospital. He possesses a sincerity and down-to-earth self-confidence that is unique among his Muppet colleagues—many have written that Rowlf's personality was the truest extension of Henson's own approach to people and work. In 1989, Henson Associates released a 12" plush Rowlf with deep brown fur and a rubber face. The item for sale is in EXCELLENT used condition with no paint defects.
