Vintage New York Steamboat Glass Paperweight by PYRO ART CO.

This is a vintage glass paperweight featuring the image of the steamboat "Str. Empire State." Paperweights like this were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as decorative desk accessories.  The steamboat depicted is likely the "Str. Empire State," a vessel that operated on Lake George, New York, during the late 1800s.  Paperweights of this style were often made by glass companies such as Mt. Washington Glass Co.
