Vintage ORA Masonic Order Eastern Star Vintage Brooch

Brooch in Good Condition. The Order of the Eastern Star is the world's largest fraternal organization for both men and women that is affiliated with Freemasonry. Founded in 1850 by Rob Morris, a prominent Mason, it serves as a benevolent and charitable service organization focused on truth, loving kindness, and fellowship. Members are Master Masons or women with specific relationships to Master Masons, and the organization requires a belief in a Supreme Being but is not religious or political. It has a global presence with thousands of chapters and supports various charities and community projects. The colors associated with the Order of the Eastern Star (OES) are blue, red, white, yellow, and green. Each color represents one of the five biblical heroines and their associated virtue: blue for Adah (obedience), yellow for Ruth (loyalty), white for Esther (honor), green for Martha (faith), and red for Electa (love).
