This hand-painted teacup and saucer set was made in Occupied Japan (1945-1952). Dainty and elegant, it is sure to bring a touch of vintage class to your afternoon tea!
The footed teacup stands 2 ½ inches high and is 3 ½ inches across the top. The saucer measures 5 ½ inches.
There is a beautiful hand-painted rose at the bottom of the cup and of the saucer. There are some chips on the gold trim around the rim of the cup. There are also some superficial scratches on the saucer’s gold rim as pictured. These are faint but are present. The cup is over 70 years old, this is normal wear over the years.
The wide band of gold makes a rich contrast with the blue colour band. Marked with the Oakwood logo, it is truly a gorgeous set!
Colour of item may vary slightly from pics due to differences in device screens and lighting. I reuse packaging as much as possible in order to reduce waste.
