Vintage Oscar De La Renta sun dress (1972)

This is an early Oscar de la Renta dress from 1972, and has been altered sometime during its history into a cute mini skirt from the original long version. It's a very fun, bright, and slightly sexy style with a diamond shaped halter front leaving the back, sides, and shoulders exposed. The fabric has wide bright rainbow stripes, falling horizontally down the skirt and then sewn into a diamond pattern on the bodice. The halter top stays in place with little piped straps that crisscross over the back and tie. The waist is cinched in and the skirt has a pretty amount of volume. The bodice is lined in a white silky rayon. Some slight discoloration on the lining but will likely come out with dry cleaning. and closes at the low back with a painted metal and nylon zipper and flat hook & eye at the back waist. The straps tie at the back to hold the halter in place. Condition: The fabric is perfect, still very bright and no flaws. The lining has slight discoloration- see photo Thread is pulling apart a bit at the seem of the halter panel to the skirt on the left hand side. Can be easily reinforced.
