Vintage Oval Carved Gold Pendant Necklace Opalescent Gothic BEAUTIFUL

Chain is approximately 24 inches long Pendant is 1.75 inches x 1.25 inches. I desperately want to keep this one! Its almost ethereal the way the oval cabachon catches the light. It looks like a combination of opal, Mother of pearl and shell, coated in clear resin, like a jelly stone! Needless to say, I am unsure what the stone is, but suspect lucite or acrylic. The mounting looks like rolled gold or gold filled, or even brass but it is not marked and I dont want to damage it to test. The chain is not original - just one I had available to string it on and it is costume. Very good vintage condition. Estate Collection finds often require an extra cleaning prior to wear.
