This is a beautiful "Poinsettia" fine bone china teacup and saucer by Paragon. Made in England between the years 1923-1933, based on the Star backstamp used. The handpainted floral design is a bright reddish orange with greenery. Repeated on the interior and exterior of the cup and the saucer. Teacup and saucer have matching star stamps. The pieces have a slightly scalloped edge that are painted gold. The gold repeats on the handle and foot of the cup.
Measurements: Cup measures 2 1/4" tall x 3 1/2" across. Saucer diameter is 5 1/4".
Condition: Minor wear to the surface, especially the gold on the handle - see photo. No chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs.
