Vintage circa 1980's Peruvian Coin Dangle Earrings - The fin shape is made of Paiche (Amazon fish) Scale, Seed (plant) beads, porcupine quill, and gold tone wire accents, I'm not sure the make up of the yellow beads but they look handmade. Vintage Bohemian set of earrings. Long and lightweight. "Un sol de oro" is stamped on the backs of the coins used in these earrings, it refers to the former currency of Peru, known as the Peruvian sol, specifically during the period when it was based on gold. It was the official currency from 1863 to 1985. The shell on the seed beads is damages on a few beads. Dangle earrings, fair condition.
