"The artwork Pinkie, is a reproduction of the famous 1794 portrait by Thomas Lawrence, depicting Sarah Goodin Barrett Moulton, an eleven-year-old girl wearing the contemporary fashion of her time. The original painting resides in the Huntington Library in California, where it is famously paired with Gainsborough's The Blue Boy. While created by different artists a quarter-century apart, Pinkie and The Blue Boy are often associated due to their complementary beauty and shared prominence in 18th-century British portraiture. Known as "the Romeo and Juliet of Rococo portraiture," the two paintings symbolize the fleeting beauty of youth."
