Another piece from my childhood via my grandfathers estate.
1930s glass art trinket or candy dish.
9.5/10 condition. No chips, cracks etc only moderate wear on the bottom. There once was a label on the bottom but all that remains now is the etching “made in England”. 8”
There were also later, coloured versions made between the late 40s - early 80s however this piece was made pre-war out of crystal clear glass and slightly elongated so it could be classified as a bowl and not an ornament which allowed it to be tax exempt during the early implementation of taxes.
My brothers and I always called this piece Nessie or Kelpie as my grandad had always displayed her next to a Lochness print in his study.
So the choice is up to your imagination… is she
Odette, the enchanted swan queen who is a central character in the ballet “Swan Lake?”
or
The Loch Ness Monster, affectionately known as Nessie, a mythical creature in Scottish folklore that is said to inhabit Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands?

That is how I found you. If you had sold them I might know from you what people will pay.
