Vintage Purse Necklace With Blue Turquoise Like Inserts

Very unique vintage necklace. Exotic, likely from the Middle East / Persia. The pendant is a small metal purse that has a lid and is decorated with blue turquoise stones. Not sure what they are, could be art glass. Not stamped, so the metal is likely not sterling silver. The chain is 34" long. There are three hanging metal balls at the bottom. It looks like there is room for five balls, but now only three are left.
