Vintage RARE and Unusual Monkey Salt & Pepper Shakers

Ugly, strange but somehow you can’t stop looking at them. Pair of salt & pepper shakers that depict two monkeys dressed as humans. Monkey man is sporting a green top hat, tux and walking stick. Monkey lady is wearing a fancy dress, bonnet and carrying a bouquet of flowers. I have not been able to find any information on this item but I’m thinking they’re quite old. Some light imperfections in paint but no chips or cracks. Each shaker is approx 5 inches tall. A truly unique addition to a collection.
