Vintage Rapunzel fairy tale wall hanging ceramic art sculpture hand made

A vintage handmade Rapunzel sculpture, meant to be hung on the wall and with a hanging slot in the back. In a slightly beige / off white tonality, the sculpture has been expertly made, with delicate detailing. Our country babe Rapunzel hangs her hair out the window, while a slightly rough looking adventurer climbs the braid. The amount of detail is staggering - from the ruffles and lacy bow on her shirt to the little teeth in the adventurers mouth and the tight muscles in his neck - this is truly imagery worth of the term "Fairytale" with a capital F. Likely this item dates from the 1980s. This would be great as-is, or to use as a blank to paint and really give it your own twist, be it colourful or dark. The makers initials are on the bottom front but the actual maker is unknown. It is in good shape with a few scuffs and small losses: one of the straps on the adventurers shoulder, his little toe, the top side (right side) side of his nose and one of the the top leaves is chipped with a small crack. It does look stable. There is a lot of detailing in this piece, so you´ll have to look a bit more careful to see it. It has been taken into consideration when pricing this item.
