Vintage Resin Coated Liquid Silver Painted Shell Art Pendant

This is a piece of jewelry the like of which I've never seen before. It's a piece of shell, that has been seemingly coated in a black resin, and then had real liquid silver metal painted onto it. That is the only way I can think of to describe the make of this pendant. It is so unusual!!! Excellent vintage condition.
