This Vintage Cow Jumped Over the Moon Cookie Jar depicts the characters from the classic nursery rhyme.  Also known as Hey Diddle Diddle cookie jar.  Anthropomorphic smiling moon base.  The lid features the cow jumping over the yellow moon as the handle.  Raised figures of a dish with a spoon and a cat with a fiddle along the base.  Circa 1940’s/1950’s.  Manufactured by Robinson Ramsbottom Pottery.  Marked on bottom “RRP Co. Roseville Ohio” which is covered in glaze and hardly seen. This rare Vintage Cow Jumped Over the Moon Cookie Jar would be the gem of your collection. Condition:  Very good for nearly 70/80 years old!  Paint is still vibrant. Tiny production flaws which are usual.  Some small chips on underside of lid rim and around opening of cookie jar which are from normal use. There is crazing which should be expected with a piece this age.  Please review all pictures carefully.  This is a preloved vintage item so wear should be expected to be commensurate with their age.
