Personally, I love the way leather ages and acquires a patina of shine, darkening and suppleness from wear. This bag has all that. It’s a vintage style from Roots. Shoulder bag was originally a lighter brown but with age it’s only become more beautiful. Saddle styling. Wide and comfortable shoulder strap. Brass hardware is aged to loveliness. Darkening at corners. Long tassel-like leather zipper pull. The inside has pen stains but not an explosion. There are dark grey stains from use. I have washed the inside lining. I have also cleaned and treated the leather with Roots cleaner and protector. No rips or tears. Please look at photos carefully.
