Vintage Roots brown leather crossbody bag, made in Canada 🇨🇦

Roots crossbody bag in good vintage condition! A true made in Canada classic featuring a smooth leather exterior in a lovely reddish-brown, this bag is perfect for that retro-chic aesthetic. Also featuring an adjustable shoulder strap, a buckled flap closure with Amiet locking clasp, Roots logo tag, and Roots branding on the base. The fabric lined interior features a central compartment and a sturdy YYK zippered pocket. Brass hardware throughout. The leather shows some scuffs and wear but is still very beautiful. The black coating on the interior fabric does show significant flaking however, in fact it is still actively flaking to the touch which is rather annoying. I would describe the style as a cross between an English saddle bag and a mini bucket bag. This was more than likely manufactured at the Roots leather factory in Toronto and I'm fairly confident that it was produced in the 1980's. The bag measures approximately 10.5 inches by 8.5 inches and is 4 inches wide at the base. The strap has a maximum shoulder drop of 22 inches.
