Vintage Royal Doulton Mr. Pickwick Dickens Ware Dish D6327-7979 Charles Noke

This lovely vintage Dickensware tea plate, dish or small tray, which was designed by Charles Noke, is rectangular in shape (known as the ‘slice tray’ – shape 7979) and features ‘Mr. Pickwick’, a character from the novel, ‘The Pickwick Papers’, by Charles Dickens. Mr. Pickwick was known as the immortal, ever young, intensely stubborn, yet with a romantic heart, good natured gentleman. The dish has ‘Nokes’ signature on the front and the Royal Doulton back stamp and pattern number D6327 on the back. Other than some minor crazing, it is in excellent condition and measures 23cm x 18cm.
