Vintage SHIFF light khaki green long pleated back 100% virgin wool trench coat

Amazing vintage condition from a Canadian women’s outerwear company, SHIFF, founded in 1919. Montreal-based SHIFF often partnered with other designers for their collections; in this case, a fellow Montrealer, Maryse Roye, from 1985-1991. Maryse Roye climbed the fashion ladder quickly, eventually designing fur coats for luxury French fashion house Louis Feraud. She now has her own line of fur coats, ready-to-wear, and accessories being sold in over 300 stores in Canada. Only two small little holes that I can see (pictured), essentially hidden away in the very bottom of the back left pleating. I am thrilled with vintage items that are older than I am, yet look as if they are nearly new! The pleats and drop-waist detail add a unique, well-constructed twist on a classic style.
