Vintage Sadler transferware gold and cream cookie jar AS-IS, English biscuit

...barrel A vintage gold and cream coloured lidded cookie jar by Sadler made in England, with Gold Swirl Bands, and Floral Filigree. The lid sadly broken and glued. When the biscuit barrel is in use, it´s not very noticeable or alternatively, the jar could be used without the lid. With a curved metal handle. The rest of the item with light crazing to the glaze, surface marks and rubbing to the gold patterned areas. Marked underneath "Sadler, made in England, EZ, -539y". This item dates ca 1937 - 1947. Size: 8 inches (19.5 cm) wide on the handles, ca 6.5 inches (16 cm) diameter on the body. 6-3/4 inches (17 cm) tall with the lid, but without the handle.
