Vintage Shafford Japan Hand-decorated Pink Gold Pearlescent Teacup and Saucer

This tri-footed teacup and saucer were made in Japan by Shafford. It is hand-decorated with all-over pink and gold designs. The interior of the teacup as well as the center of the saucer is pearlescent. The cup has an interesting clover shape. There are no chips or cracks. There are some minor scratches on the plate from use. There is gold fading on the handle of the teacup as well as the rim of the plate. Also, there is some pink fading as well on the plate. It should be noted that there is a spot near the rim where the glaze did not reach, which is shown in the photos. There is no glaze on the rim of the teacup, so it feels rougher compared to the rest of the cup.
