Vintage Signed Darcy Joseph face plaque

Vintage Signed carved face plaque by Darcy Joseph. Darcy Joseph of the Squamish Nation Indian Band in Capilano, BC passed away in 2016 and was the brother of famed carver Chief Floyd and Delmar Joseph. This beautiful expressive cedar carved chief face with eagle feather is 5 1/4” x 3 1/8” x approximately 1” deep. There is a rawhide loop pinned at the back to hang. Signed on the back ‘Darcy Joseph B.C.’. In as found condition. A sliver of cedar is missing from one side edge as seen in fourth photo, the area is lighter in colour. This can be stained to match surrounding wood. Does not detract from the carving. A unique First Nations collectible carving.
