Vintage Silk Kimono Style wrapper with bonus vest

This is a gorgeous custom made vintage kimono style wrapper. There are no interior tags to guide us but this is most certainly a high quality silk fabric. It is a custom sewn piece as can be seen by the inside finishings and hand sewing in places. The kimono has a same fabric belt and closes with two buttons. the buttons as they are currently placed make the lay flat waist 13 in. But these buttons can easily be moved to accommodate a bigger waist of up to 30 inches total. The wrapper is 55 inches long from shoulder to hem. The pit to pit is 16 inches measured on the back but I can fit this as a medium since there are darts at the bust. It can also be worn open. The shoulder to shoulder is 15.5 inches on the back. This garment comes with a little vest that is lined in a pink satin. It is almost as if this project was not finished to completion as the vest has buttons but no button holes. So the vest could be used for extra fabric of a seamstress could make buttonholes or snaps could be sewn in. It is hard to date this garment with precision due to the lack of any tags but based on the style and condition my best estimate is that it was made in the 1960's or possibly the 70's due to the sharp point on the collar. This is a gorgeous piece that has been stored in a home for well over 50 years. It has an acquired a mild vintage scent and could benefit from a drycleaning to fully restore its glory.
