Vintage Sphinx Faceted Glass Brooch

This vintage brooch by Sphinx is made of a gold tone metal and has a modern locking c pin closure on the back. The main piece of the brooch is a large faceted purple glass stone, meant to look like amethyst. The brooch is stamped on the back and says SPHINX in an oval and also says 20360. This may have been an inventory number or code as Sphinx was known to make pieces for other companies and department stores.
