The piece beautifully depicts a kneeling woman balancing a water jug on her head while holding her wrapped baby to her chest. This touching image showcases traditional Caribbean artistry. The stone has been skillfully carved and decorated with etched details and subtly painted accents. The sculpture is in overall very good condition, with a very thin crack on the raised arm as shown in the last three photos.
