Vintage Steiff Green Frog 12”

Likely from the 1960s. I bought it at an estate sale in 1986. Steiff is a German company known for its high-quality stuffed animals. Steiff frogs were produced in various sizes and materials, with some being made of mohair or velvet. Apparently these are quite collectible. Metal Steiff tag between toes. In good vintage condition. Never played with but it is old 60+. In many cultures, frogs symbolize transformation, adaptability, and renewal due to their ability to live both in water and on land. They are also associated with wealth, abundance, and good fortune. Shamans may consider them spirit helpers capable of cleansing bad spirits.
