Vintage Sterling Silver Hallmark Scottish Bracelet Lion Agate Safety Chain

For your consideration is a vintage sterling silver glorious mid 20th century Scottish Hallmark bracelet, featuring the Edinburgh lion and agate. It has 4 links of lions and 4 links with the marbled agate and each link has hallmarks on the back, the clasp is marked Sterling Silver. It is in good condition with no breaks, the silver does have an aged patina to it (I have not polished it) and has a tongue clasp and safety chain connected for extra security. On the reverse of one of the links there are full hallmarks for Ward Brothers 'WBs' (maker), followed by the thistle for Scotland and the fancy letter 'V', can't quite make out the last hallmark might be a castle. Suit small to medium sized wrist- measures in length approximately 7" inches INTERESTING FACT THE WARD BROTHERS The Ward Brothers produced sterling silver jewellery from the nineteenth century and were originally based in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Moving to Birmingham to increase production, this company produced Scottish designs with with gems. Marked with the Ward Brothers Birmingham, Edinburgh or Glasgow assay hall mark or if under 7 grams in weight they were marked "sterling/silver and WBs" sometimes with a year mark.
