This is a large Sterling Silver Vintage Keepsake or Poison Ring with a Larimar gemstone. While the name "poison ring" comes from their historical use for concealing poison to harm others or for suicide, they also served other purposes like holding keepsakes or relics. Marked 925 Weight 9.43 grams Size 7.75 Larimar is a type of blue pectolite. Pectolite containing copper is known as larimar. This lovely pale blue gemstone is becoming more difficult to get and thus is getting more expensive. Color may differ slightly in different lighting conditions due to the nature of the stone.
