Vintage Suzanne of British Columbia pleated sleeveless midi dress c. 1960s* Dark grey Double rows of buttons opens the dress up like a vest Collar folds over at the middle, leaving a sexy gap below Bodice is closed by an inside snap at top and hook-and-eye at waist, then buttoned Skirt has a further 3 buttons Back and sides of skirt made of top-stitched pleats that open up at the bottom of the hip Predates fabric labels but feels like wool (and burn test indicates a natural fiber) Vintage size 16; estimated current size 6 but check measurements: Shoulder width: 14" Back width (P2P): 18" Waist: ~28.5" Length from nape: 42.5" Skirt length: 26" * There are no fabric content or care labels, dating this to pre-1970 in Canada - Sizing is consistent with 1950s and 60s - Style-wise, I think it's more 1960s than 1950s - Suzanne's Fashions of BC confirmed this is one of their dresses; they opened in 1965.
