Authentic 1947 pressed wood composite trinket box featuring a raised Irish Setter in a hunting pose. Made by Multi Products Inc., this faux woodgrain piece mimics hand-carved bark and tree rings, and includes a removable lid revealing a shallow catchall compartment. Originally designed as an ashtray, it now functions beautifully as rustic decor, a key dish, or gift box. Marked ©1947 MULTI PRODUCTS INC on the interior base. This company was known for mid-century molded wood pulp decor, similar to Syroco. The Irish Setter is highly detailed, with hand-painted accents over molded texture. Measurements: Approx. 7" L x 5" W x 1.5" H (17.8 cm x 12.7 cm x 3.8 cm) Condition: Surface wear to raised areas, visible paint loss, and light edge chipping consistent with age.
