A Canadian classic! Even if you’re not aspiring to master “wok hei” (the ever desirable “wok energy” or “breath of the wok” that infuses the best dishes with wonderful flavour), Martin Yan’s 1979 The Joy of Wokking is a fun and fabulous read. Find inside delicious recipes, entertaining introductions to each section, and informative, easy to understand explanations of the ins and out of (specific, regional) Chinese cookery.
Notes:
- cover and back not in perfect, mint condition (but not bad, either)
- one little “good!” comment in blue pen ink inside
- book has minuscule signs of wear, but nothing outstanding. Pretty good for an over 40 year old cookbook!
