Vintage Textbook, We Grow Up Second Reader, MacMillan Company 1945 New Work-Play

This is a early school Second Reader "We Grow Up" (The New Work-Play Books) by Gates, Huber and Peardon and published by the MacMillan Company in 1945. It is a yellow hardcover book with black and yellow lettering on the cover and spine. Across both covers sprawls an illustration of a man and a boy on horseback riding across a desert landscape by C. L. Baldridge. It is full of charming color illustrations. This book is in good condition. There is some wear, marks and loss to the cover and spine and bumped corners as in the photos. It has a good tight binding. There are school stamps on the front end page as well as staining and a tear along the hinge. A few pages have small tears in the margins and one page has a portion of the page missing. The pages are very clean with no marks that I could find save for some smudges. Please see all the photos.
