Vintage Tibetan Beaded Necklace

This vintage necklace is made in a Tibetan (or Himalayan) style and uses several different materials in its design. There is no sterling/925 stamp, so the silver tone metal is most likely Tibetan silver ("white non-precious metal alloys used primarily in jewelry components, with an appearance similar to aged silver."). Starting at the back, the necklace has a lobster claw closure which may be a replacement as it has a different tone. The upper part of the necklace is beaded with turquoise beads until it reaches the two decorative gold tone balls near the shoulders. Afterwards, it splits off into 3 strands that are beaded with lapis lazuli (dark blue), coral (red), and more turquoise (...turquoise). The pendant has a wide bail that can move side to side over the beads it touches. Rather than more beads, the pendant features the lapis, coral, and turquoise in a sort of mosaic with beautiful metal details all around. The back of the pendant is flat and does not have any deliberate details. Necklaces similar to this are listed as being made by hand, so this may be as well. This beautiful piece has general wear, most visible in the tone of the clasp and the marks on the back of the pendant. There do not appear to be any beads or other pieces missing. However, there are 2 white-tone beads on either side of the pendant bail that are chipping off silver tone from the movement. Length: 45cm / 18" Pendant dimensions: 7x7cm / 2.75x2.75" Weight: 51.79g
