Vintage Tonala Penguin, 12" Mexican Pottery Bird Statue, Mexico Folk Art, Burni

This large penguin statue is a striking example example of Mexican Tonala pottery with a burnished matte finish. Pretty earthy jewel tone colors. The penguin features an intricate flower pattern in his back. Hollow inside. No signatures or commercial tags. Condition: Some wear to his beak - please see photos. Otherwise very good condition with no chips, etc. Measurements: 12 1/2" tall x 6" wide x 9" deep.
