Vintage Virgo Brass Ring with "Sapphire" stone

Brass ring is in excellent used condition, does show some age on the face and band. Band of ring is no longer gold toned and is now back to original bass color. I'm unable to confirm if the stone is an actual sapphire, but this was my mothers and she did confirm that it was if memory servers her correctly, but this has not been authenticated by a jeweler. Ring is about a 6-7 in size and feathers the word "Virgo" on a banner below a women tending to what looks to be flowers or vegetation. Band reads "Brass" but unconfirmed, see photos.
