Vintage Wakouwa Dog Puppet

Wakouwa toys with a spring mechanism that can nod or wiggle the figure when base is pushed were created by Swiss inventor Walther Kourt Walss in 1926. This dog has 'made in Austria' stamped on the base and was rescued from a Parisian Flea Market. The iconic pieces are sought by collectors but difficult to find in good condition as they are so fragile. His ears are hanging on but barely! The figure works as designed but it's now for collectors and nostalgia, not a toy!
