Vintage Walther Glass Shell Dessert Serving Plate Set, Mikasa Nautica Frost ***I don't have the original box anymore, I only keep the photos of the box to show the brand name. 2 small frosted bowls, perfect for display, hold fruit or as serving dishes. They are in a sea shell shape. Pictures just do not do justice to them! In great vintage condition, no chips or cracks. There is a tiny black bubble in one platter (pictured), which is probably glue residue. The black is carbon left from the glue burning out while production. These original Walther Glass Serving bowls measure 7". They are named the Mikasa Nautica Frost. The Mikasa company is a division of the American company Lifetime Brands, with no connection to Walther Glass from Germany. However, there is some evidence that Walther’s glassworks had operated under the name Mikasa for some time following the German reunification in 1990. The lack of published information about Walther Glass will undoubtedly always result in confusion.
