Was a speaker's gift at a conference in Ireland, late 90s. ๐โ๏ธ It's a classic 1950s design.
This heavy Waterford crystal dish is adorned with fluted designs. I think it's the Lismore design, based on a lot of research. The pattern was an ode to the Gothic architecture of the ๐ฐ 800-year-old Lismore Castle ๐ฐ, inspired by the symmetry of the towers, pointed arches and elegant curves of the windows.
Its round base has an intricately cut starburst pattern. Its dimensions are as follows: 4 inches high, spans 7 inches across the top, and has a base width of 3.25 inches. The bowl itself has a depth of 3.5 inches.
The Lismore story began in 1952, at the hands of Chief Designer Miroslav Havel.
