Du Pont de Nemours and Company in 1959, the phrase “Lycra Only by Dupont” was trademarked by Dupont in August 1995 in both the US and Canada. * The phrase was abandoned on 30 August 1996 in the US and allowed to lapse in Canada, where its trademark was officially declared dead in April 1998. * CA number assigned to Holt Renfrew, who imported the blazer from the US.
